Obituary

Sandra (Sandy) Platt, 84 passed away Saturday February 22, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on Pine St in Philadelphia, she spent most of her adult life in Egg Harbor township New Jersey. She was a fashionista, well known for outfitting children from Philadelphia and the jersey shore for special occasions and “back to school” outfits. Grandparents who resided in Jersey for the summer flocked to Kidrageous, a high fashion children’s clothing store in Margate NJ, so Sandy could dress their grandchildren in the most up to date outfits for the coming school year. For years loyal customers sought her fashion advice.

When she wasn’t working, she spent most of her time with her loving family: Her 3 children: Carol Fantazzi, Michael Harrison, and Tracy Spivack , daughter in-law- Jane Harrison, and son-in-law, Kenneth Spivack,. She was a proud and doting Grandmother to her grandchildren: Jason Zelenak, Sydney, Shea, and Peyton Harrison and

Jacob, Dylan, and Scout Spivack.

In addition to being a smart dresser, she loved sporting a tan and spent hours on the beach as soon as the sun poked through.

Sandy was the daughter of Charlotte and Irv Platt, sister to her beloved late brother, Arthur Platt. In her later years, she shared a home with her daughter Carol and grandson Jason Zelenak and their dog Skyler.

Services will be held at Temple Beth Hillel Synagogue at Remington Rd and Lancaster Ave in Wynnewood Pennsylvania at 11am Thursday February 27. Contributions can be made to The Surfrider Foundation, dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves, and beaches, for all people.
