Obituary

Rosalie Mayes-Anderson entered this world on September 27th of 1965 and transitioned in the early morning of February 24th of 2025. Rosalie also known as Malika, was a beautiful force born to Marie Mayes and Erdrich Thomas; also raised by stepfather Banks Wyatt.

Treasured by sisters Cynthia Backay(deceased), Angela Wyatt, Yashsana Glover, Sharonda Thompson(deceased), Kambon Mumtahanna Ansari and brother Sultan Thompson. Rosalie leaves behind two daughters Ty-Nisha LaShawn Mayes and LaToya Nicole Wyatt. Whom has blessed her with grandchildren, NaShawn Mayes, Jatayah Harley, Nahji Mayes, NyAsia Mayes, and Tahir Winters; great-grandchildren Aiden Washington, Nalani Harmony Mayes, Namaari Marie Mayes and Amaiyah Marie Mayes.

These days Rosalie is in the loving company of her son Tahj Robinson and other transitioned loved ones.

Today we won't mourn her. We will celebrate her. When we think and close our eyes, we'll see her dancing, singing and smiling. Each one of us seeing her with a different short cut but same beautiful rosey cheeks.

Today is a day for remembrance of a soul that has gone home and will watch over us and guide us. Each time you miss her just turn on music that'll shake your soul, and make you belt the lyrics from the bottom of your stomach and move your feet. You'll feel her next to you.

Rosalie will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many others. However, we all know that she is at peace and bowling in the sky.

No soul can ever die without Allah's Will at the destined time.
