Obituary

Tom’s River, NJ: Robert "Bob" Harry Walker, 84, passed away on February 27, 2026 at Community Medical Center in Tom's River, NJ. Bob was born in Chicago, IL, on July 27, 1941, the only child to Bertha Lockwood Walker and Harry Roby Walker, also deceased.

The Walker family relocated to New Jersey where Bob grew up in Jersey City and surrounding areas. He attended Newark Academy in Livingston, NJ. As a child, Bob spent summers in Belmar, NJ. He married in 1967 and had 3 children.

Bob, along with his family, were longtime residents of West Allenhurst, NJ. For over 30 years, he worked in NYC at the NYSE for Coleman and Company. He enjoyed walking to the Allenhurst train station every day, rain or shine. Bob had a strong work ethic and instilled this in his children. He was a patron of Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport, NJ and loved animals.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Carter Walker from Point Pleasant; son, Robert "Bobby" Walker and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Brooks and Ryan of Summit, NJ; son, David Walker and wife Stacy of Brick, NJ; and daughter, Marianne Walker Wilson and husband Rick Valdez of Manchester, NH.

Bob was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His love and sense of humor will be deeply missed. In accordance with Bob's wishes, he was cremated and his family will honor his memory in private

Uncle Bob i remember how funny you were. How you teased. There's not a Thanksgiving that goes by that I dont remember the pumpkin ice-cream conversation. Marianne and I remember it all too well! AND YES ITS STILL DELICIOUS! Bobby, David and Marianne I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad.
