February 26, 1954 – October 20, 2026

Robert “Bobby” Robinson, 72, passed away on October 20, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 26, 1954, he was the son of the late Aldis and Florence (Banks) Robinson.

Bobby was a talented musician whose lifelong passion was playing bass guitar. Beginning in his teenage years, he performed with several bands throughout the South Jersey area, including Yesterday's Child and Wickerfish. His love of rock and roll remained a defining part of his life, and he continued playing music well into his later years.

Throughout his life, Bobby worked in various professions, including the automotive industry and the funeral service industry. He also briefly served in the United States Air Force as a firefighter. In addition to music, Bobby enjoyed motorcycles, sailing, and surfing.

Bobby was predeceased by his parents; his older brother, Lynn Robinson; his niece, Susan (Robinson) Huston; and his nephew, Craig Swennes (survived by his wife, Joanne).

He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Lang) Robinson; his children, Kayla Robinson and Robert “Bobby” Robinson Jr.; his sister-in-law, Marcia Robinson; his niece, Kristen (Swennes) Derouse (Shannon); and his nephew, Lynn Robinson Jr. (Meghan), with whom he shared a home for the past 20 years. He is also survived by his grandnieces, Savannah Swennes and Meridian Robinson; his grandnephews, Riley Robinson and Finnegan Robinson; and his great-grandniece, Eden Ramos.

Bobby shared a particularly special bond with his grandnephew Finn, a relationship that brought him great joy and will be fondly remembered.

Bobby will be remembered for his warm personality, his love of music, and the many memories he shared with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
