Obituary

Michael F. Farrell, 80, of Brigantine New Jersey, formerly of East Norriton PA, passed away on March 28th, 2025, surrounded by close family.

Born in 1944 to Frank and Anne Farrell, he grew up in King of Prussia. After graduating from Villanova University in 1966, he served in the National Guard before starting a successful career in Technology and Consulting with firms including IBM and Boeing. He married his wife, Carol, in 1967. They were blessed to celebrate 57 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his 3 girls.

The National Guard led to a lifelong passion of photography. With 3 young daughters in tow, the family learned to sail and became Hobie Cat fanatics sailing off the Ocean City beaches. Once empty nesters, Mike became an avid triathlete competing in regional sprints with Carol as his crew.

A self-taught engineer, he rewired the house to be ‘smart’, created bespoke furniture, & instructed the grandchildren on power tools to build important projects like commercial-grade potato launchers. He was forever tinkering on the house and making runs to Ace Hardware.

He loved his family and the beach. Brigantine was his happy place.

Michael is survived by his wife, Carol Marino Farrell of 57 years; 3 daughters Meg Farrell (Andrew Kramer), Anne Farrell(Jim Meissner) and Nina Farrell (Alessandro Carafa Jacobini); grandchildren Michael Meissner, Dean Meissner, Massimo Carafa Jacobini and Grace Carafa Jacobini: and one sister, Toni Farrell Itkin of Atlanta, Georgia.

A private memorial will be held in August 2025
