Obituary for Linda Mary Breuss nee Newman

Linda Mary Breuss nee Newman, of Boonton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at the age of 60. She was born on October 12, 1964, in the Bronx, New York, to the late Mary Newman nee Rutledge and Thomas Newman.

Linda grew up in the Bronx before moving to Dumont, New Jersey, and later making her home in Boonton. She worked as a dedicated claims associate, known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit.

Linda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was the proud mother of Amanda Egan and her husband, Kyle, and of Michael Breuss. She adored her grandson, Samuel, who brought light and laughter into her days. She is also survived by her loving brother, Paul Newman, and his wife, Sandy, along with her nephews, Matthew and Tyler. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Mary Newman nee Rutledge and Thomas Newman, and her brother, Thomas Newman.

Linda had a passion for crime shows and her beloved soap opera, General Hospital. She also loved gathering with her family, sharing moments both big and small that created lasting memories.

Her kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to those she loved will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Linda’s memory.
