Joseph Robert Larkin April 15, 1980 – August 18, 2026

Joseph Robert Larkin, 46, of Clayton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, following a difficult and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born on April 15, 1980, and raised in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Joe graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1998. He later lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before making his home in New Jersey. Joe shared 16 years of his life with his partner, Jenn. Together, they built a life filled with countless memories, including time with their furry best friend, Eclipse Void Wall.

Joe will be remembered for his curiosity about the world around him and his love of learning, especially in the areas of science and space. He also enjoyed music, movies, nature, and stargazing.

Joe is survived by his partner, Jennifer Sullivan of Clayton, New Jersey; his birth father, Robert VanHorn of Ocala, Florida; his aunt, Catherine Dileo-Lee of Sciota, Pennsylvania, and her family; his sister, Meghan Larkin; and Gary and Shirlee Sullivan and family of Clayton, New Jersey, who welcomed Joe into their family.

He was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Matthew and Barbara Larkin of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and his birth mother, Donna Dileo of Saylorsburg, PA.

Joseph was cremated in accordance with his final wishes. At this time, no memorial service or celebration of life is planned. In keeping with the family’s wishes, donations are not being requested.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
