Obituary
On Saturday May 9, 2026, James F. Guzzi, 74 years old of Egg harbor Township, NJ took his last breath and peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. James courageously fought his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully with his beloved wife Sharon, daughters and other family members by his side. James was born in Philadelphia, PA to Josephine (nee Giannotti) Guzzi and Gabriel Guzzi. He graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School in 1970 and went on to proudly serve in the US Army from 1973-1977 as a sergeant where he repaired weapons on helicopters. After James was honorably discharged from the US Army, he went on to work as a Philadelphia Police officer and then went to work for SEPTA as a bus driver. James then retired and eventually moved to Egg Harbor Township, NJ. He is survived by his beloved wife Sharon (nee Hafner) Guzzi, and his children Julia (nee Guzzi) Jenkins and husband David Jenkins, Lisa (nee Guzzi) DeMoy, Sarah (nee Guzzi) Rebitz and husband Joseph Rebitz, Christina (nee Guzzi) VanWright and husband Ryan VanWright, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his daughter Maria Guzzi and parents Josephine and Gabriel Guzzi. He is survived by his brother Bruce (Patty) Guzzi, Joanne Guzzi, Gary Guzzi and former spouse Adrienne Boyer (mother of Julia, Lisa, Sarah, Maria) and Aida Rivera (mother of Christina). James was a member of Greentree church in Egg Harbor Township NJ and loved his church family. He would boldly tell others of his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and how they too can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He loved his entire family, was an avid fisherman, loved cooking, baking, gardening, firearms, antiques, flea markets, and repairing just about anything he could get his hands on. He had a big personality with a voice to match it and loved talking and helping other people. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life/memorial service will be held in June, and his ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony. Loved by all who knew him. James F. Guzzi will be forever loved, forever missed and forever be in our hearts.
❤️ Love you forever!! ❤️
