Obituary

Floyd B. Falcone, 90 of Longswamp twp. (formally Rockland twp.) passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 5, 2026. He was the husband of Joan (Bonavoglia) Falcone whom he married in 1955 and recently celebrated 71yrs of marriage.

Floyd is survived by his wife Joan, and children, Gregory (Giff), Mark, Brian, Alane, and Jeffrey Falcone, sister Carol Brandl, grandchildren: Tina, Gaetano (Sonny), Destiny, Carla, Rachel, Anthony, Nicholas, Meredith Falcone, great-grandchildren: Tyra, Eli, Lorenzo Falcone, Joseph & Valerie Skrip,

He was preceded by his parents Benjamin and Helen (Delmonico) Falcone, Sister Lee Federico, grandson Mark Joseph Falcone.

Born and raised in south Philadelphia, Floyd was proud of his Italian heritage, growing up with his many aunts, uncles and cousins in a strong family bond. As a young man living through the world-war two era, he became fascinated with aviation and was trained as an airplane mechanic. His interest in mechanics, engineering and graphic arts drew him into the printing business and in the 1950’s he established and ran his own business, Falcone Printing Co.

While raising his family in Chester County, Pa, Floyd was very involved in the Lion’s club, organization and the local boy scouts with his sons. After moving to Berks County, he was the owner/ operator of Rockland Press and was employed by Grafika printing. Floyd was an avid-sportsmen and enjoyed many years of hunting with his children and sharing his vast knowledge of firearms.

As a senior he and his wife along with many other dedicated senior citizens established an advisory organization “Brandywine Taxpayers Group” to start a public dialog on the oppressive school real estate taxation of seniors in Pa. This advocacy organization grew to statewide notoriety and in part helped establish and support the Pa tea party movement.

A funeral mass to celebrate Floyd’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Rd, Kutztown, PA on Monday August 17, 2026 at 10am.
