Obituary

Dianne Marie (Shydlinski) Varner, 57, of Carlisle, PA passed away suddenly on Friday,

September 6 th , 2025 at UPMC Westshore hospital.

Born March 14 th , 1968, in Berwick, PA to Mary Louise (Shydlinski) Kishbaugh and later

adopted by her grandparents, Leonard Shydlinski, Sr; Pearl Zeares Shydlinski, at the

age of 7. Dianne loved her grandparents for their kind, gentle, loving hearts to be able to

adopt her.

Dianne was an avid crafter, having many health issues during her life, she turned to

crafting to keep her mind off the pain. She would create drawing that she never felt were

“good enough” but enjoyed drawing either way. She tested the waters of writing to help

with a way to escape the daily havoc invoked on her body. She loved crocheting. She

would crochet gifts such as blankets, hats and scarfs for family & Friends. She took

immense pride in making infant hats to donate to the local hospital for newborn babies.

Recently she dabbled in floral arrangements. She loved visiting family until she was no

longer able to do so. If she couldn’t attend an event, she would make sure the person

got their gifts delivered prior to, so they knew how much she loved them.

Dianne enjoyed watching her soap operas during the day, she especially enjoyed

spending time with her children and Lifelong partner and best friend taking day trip to

the zoo or fishing.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise (Shydlinski) Kishbaugh in 2010.

Her grandparents, who raised her as a daughter: Pearl Zeares Shydlinski and Leonard

Shydlinski, Sr. Uncle: , Joe Shydlinski, loving family - Albert Saunders Sr., Kelly

Saunders Maguire and Kenny Miller.

Dianne is survived by her Lifelong Partner and Best Friend Albert Saunders Jr. Her

children Austin Varner and Jessica Varner. Brother: James Kishbaugh. Her Aunt:

Carole Stout, Uncles: Wayne Williams, Leonard Shydlinski Jr, Michael Shydlinski.

Sisters in Law Lisa Miller, Becky Scott (Glenn), Audrey Saunders, Brother in law: John

Saunders many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A very special

friend TJ Miller.
