In Loving Memory of Deserie Cincotti (Samarco)

It’s with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Deserie Cincotti, who left us on October 8, 2025, at just 48 years old.

Deserie grew up in Philadelphia and had a one-of-a-kind spirit—always joking and trying to make people laugh. She loved horror movies, animals, music, and taking pictures.

Though singing wasn’t exactly her gift (a joke she’d laugh at), she absolutely loved music—especially “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It feels fitting now to say she’s “as free as a bird,” soaring peacefully beyond this world.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Cincotti; our dad, William Gould; our brother, Marky Gould; and many other beloved family members she missed dearly. She is survived by her mother, Anna Samarco; her brother, Billy Gould; and her sister, Ashley Schrag—along with so many family members and friends who loved her.

Right now, we’re still figuring out arrangements and will share more when we can. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support—it truly means so much to us.

The Glimmers of You

There were moments

when I’d catch a glimpse of you,

underneath the pain,

soft as light,

when the clouds would part

and I’d see you.

In your laugh,

in the way you’d make a joke

just to make someone smile,

I’d see her,

the sister I always hoped to have,

echoing through the noise.

I wish we’d had more of those moments,

without anything in the way.

No pain from the past, no demons clawing in your mind

your light never stopped fighting to be seen.

Now you’re free

no shadows, no fight,

only peace.

Free to laugh,

Free to just be.

All the glimmers of you

finally whole again.
