Obituary

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Fitzharris, 56, of Newark, Delaware on June 14, 2026.

Born on June 2, 1970, Dawn was the beloved daughter of John “Jack” Fitzharris and Antoinette “Toni” Fitzharris. Dawn grew up with a vibrant spirit and a deep love for helping others. She was so well known in her community, as she had the ability to connect instantly with anyone she met. Her warm smile was always inviting and welcoming to anyone she encountered. Her children were the light of her life. She loved them all deeply, spoke about them often, and was always so proud of their accomplishments.

Though her life was cut tragically short, Dawn will always be remembered as a kind, free-spirited person full of love, who touched everyone she met with her radiant personality. We will carry her memory in our hearts, and remember the friendly, compassionate, and loving woman she was.

Dawn is survived by her mother, Toni (Paoletti); her three beloved children, Marc, Reggie and Zoe; her brother Brian, sister-in-law, Catherine, her niece and nephew Jessica and Jack; her significant other, Michal Tate; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her father, Jack Fitzharris.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Ed Oliver Golf Club, 800 N. Dupont Road, Wilmington, DE 19807. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., followed by a memorial gathering from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
