Obituary

C. Brooke Gruenberg, 85, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 25th, 2026, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born July 8th, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mary (Young) Gussman and Charles Gussman. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Educational Testing Service (ETS) for many years. Raised two daughters as a single mother.

She was a survivor of Breast Cancer twice in her lifetime. Had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. She was very proud of her family and what they achieved.

When she was younger, she took a trip to China and grew

to love their culture. She learned a few words she would use when going to a Chinese restaurant, and brought her own chopsticks, which she eventually tried to teach her grandchildren.

It was never a dull moment talking to Brooke. She would

tell stories about her deceased family members that almost always ended in a laugh. Her favorite way to say goodbye to her family was saying, "Don't do anything I would do," which her family knew meant anything.

Brooke is now resting at peace with her mother and father.

Her memories are cherished with her daughters, Kirsten and Leslie; her brother Christopher Gussman; 6 grandchildren, Nicole, Donald, Kimberly, Michael, Milya, and Emilee; along with three great-grandchildren, Payton, Lauren, and Maxwell.
