Obituary

Barbara (Basler) Kallet, age 90 died peacefully In Good Samaritan Hospice on February 21, 2025. She was the devoted wife of Dr. Charles Kallet for 36 years. She was a loving mother to; Max, Harry, and Oscar Kallet (Cynthia). She was grandmother to Scott and Christina Kallet.

Barbara was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Watson) Basler. She is survived by her brother Joseph Basler. She is preceded in death by; John Basler, Janet Gavoni, and Carol Weymouth. Barbara was born and raised in Kingston Massachusetts.

In 1970 she moved to Bridgeport, NY to raise her family and to serve as a registered nurse in the Bridgeport Medical Center with her husband.

Barbara was an actress who loved all things related to movies and theater. She loved acting, singing, dancing, performing in plays and stand-up comedy. She was a model and belly dancing aficionado. Barabara was the creator of the Rattlesnake Gulch Players community theatre group. She enjoyed visiting New York City and Los Angelas where she performed.

Barbara enjoyed trips to Hollywood where she continued to pursue her acting career after retiring from nursing.

Barbara was very much loved by her family and friends. A memorial service will be conducted in her home town of Kingston Massachusetts in the near future.
