Obituary

Ansell Bancroft "Mac" MacMillan, Jr., of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026.

Born in 1928 in Lynn, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Ansell Bancroft MacMillan and Olive Opal (Stevens) MacMillan.

In 1950, Mac married Joan Claire Gagnon, and they had two children together: Susan and Ansell III. In 1985, he married Donna Lee (Dodd) Hopkins MacMillan, with whom he shared many happy years.

Mac proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. After his service, he worked as an electrician, known for his skill and dedication. He loved sailing and camping and was known for his quiet strength, dry humor, and legendary dislike of vegetables.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Linda Kimble and her husband, John Warwick; his son, Ansell Bancroft MacMillan III and his wife, Dawn; his grandchildren, Howard Westley Kimble and his wife, Amanda, and Susan C. Kimble; and his great-grandchildren, Taylor Kimble, Jullian Kimble, Hunter Kimble, and Cailey Kimble.

He is also survived by the family he gained through his marriage to Donna: stepson Richard Hopkins and his wife, Sharon; stepdaughter Denise Brower and her husband, Michael; step-grandchildren John Morton and his wife, Brittany, Timmy Doyle, Shawn Doyle, Olivia Hopkins, and Ella Hopkins.

Mac will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, electrician, and friend. His quiet strength and humor will be cherished by all who knew him.
