Obituary

Alice L. Eldreth was born on May 17, 1968, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. With a calm and simple demeanor, Alice was known for her kind spirit, sense of humor, and dedication to family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her love for life and the lessons she shared on living life fully, with no regrets.

She is survived by her sister Linda Woods of Nottingham PA, her brothers James Eldreth of Coatesville, PA and Jerry Eldreth of Quarryville PA, her brothers-in-law Jerry Woods, George Hudson from Nottingham PA, sisters-in-law Janice Eldreth, of Coatesville PA and Wendy Eldreth of Quarryville PA. She was also a beloved Aunt to her nieces Lisa, Becky, Glenda, Laura, Chrissy, and Ashley. Her nephews Jerry and Roger Eldreth and many, many more. Alice was predeceased by her father James-Roger Eldreth (2024), her mother Winnie L. Maines Eldreth (2018), and her sister Janet Sue Hudson (2006) all from Kennett Square PA. Her longtime boyfriend, John Campbell of West Grove, PA (2020).

Alice had a lifelong love for food, particularly pizza, hamburgers, steaks and fries, as well as her favorite soda beverage, Coca-Cola. She enjoyed the music of Tim McGraw and was an ardent fan of game shows and "The Big Bang Theory". The dynamics of horror movies like "Halloween", "Scream", and Friday the 13th intrigued her. She channeled her competitive spirit as a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and NASCAR. She eventually got into watching the Summer Olympics which she surprisingly enjoyed.

In addition to her love for Monopoly, Goldfish, and Blackjack, Alice enjoyed many card and board games. Alice also appreciated the outdoors and spending time with friends. Whether planning and attending birthday parties and cookouts or reminiscing about trips to Florida and the Poconos with her longtime boyfriend, John, she lived life to the fullest.

Locally, Alice spent a lot of time at the VFW and was part of a dart club. She enjoyed walking to Walmart and big lots and spending time with her extended family. Alice spent most of her life in Kennett Square, where she graduated from Kennett High School, and where she lived with her parents until their passings, after which she moved in with her sister, Linda and her brother-in-law Jerry.

A loving daughter, a beloved sister, a wonderful Aunt, and a devoted friend to many, Alice will be sorely missed. Her legacy will live on in the kindness she shared and her efforts to reconnect with long-term family members.

Although Alice was called home to be with the Lord. We will never forget and will always cherish the memories we got to share.

Until we meet again. We love and miss you.
