February 23, 1934 - June 16, 2024 William (Bill) Cesarano, 90, of Carney's Point NJ, previously residing in Milford and Dover DE. Bill was born and raised in Paulsboro, NJ. He graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1952. He was employed at the A&P grocery before entering the US Navy reserves, followed by the US Army in 1953. He enjoyed talking about his experiences while serving on an LST in Seattle, Washington; as well as other memorable events during his enlistment. Bill was employed as a lab technician at Mobil Research in Paulsboro, while also attending night school at Drexel University. He retired from a long career at Mobil in 1990. He served in the Knights of Columbus while a member of St. John's Church. He was also a longtime member of the Salem County Sportsmen's Club where he was a past Director. Bill enjoyed fishing, and made many trips on the party boats in Fortescue, NJ. He also participated in many SCSC annual fishing trips to Canada. Bill was quite handy with his self-taught skills as home electrician, plumber and auto mechanic. He also enjoyed reading and even tried his hand at oil painting. William was predeceased by his parents Vincenzo Cesarano and Giovanna (Allegro) Cesarano; his beloved daughter Gloria Jean (Cesarano) Cunningham; his second wife Francie Mayan Cesarano along with her daughter Eileen Jester, her grandson Adam Jester, and her sister Mary Mayan; his sister-in-law Rosemary Cesarano; his son-in-law Vincent Vasta; and his great granddaughter Gia Marie Oppermann. He is survived by his first wife Gloria Cesarano and their children; Tina Vasta, Billy, David (Esther), Michael (Renee), Jeanette Cicione (Anthony), son-in-law Mike Cunningham; twenty-three grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; his brothers Mike and Vince (Mary) and many loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Francie's daughters Carol Berdinka (Mitch), Patricia Schwalm (John), and Maryann Manley (Jack).
