Elsie May Wasserbach (née Kmosko) passed on July 14, 2024, in Easton, PA, at the age of 90. Born on March 8, 1934, in Hillside, NJ, Elsie was a vibrant and cherished figure in her community and family. Elsie graduated from Hillside High School and dedicated many years of her life working as a Certified Medical Assistant for Dr. Paul Arts until her retirement in 1999. She was deeply involved in her faith, actively participating in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in North Plainfield, NJ, and St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brick, NJ. Known for her spirited and loving nature, Elsie was the life of the party and an exceptional hostess. Her home was a welcoming space where friends and family gathered to celebrate life's moments. Elsie was also a talented seamstress and an avid reader, gardener, baker, and crafter, who enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitch, knitting, and crocheting. Elsie is survived by her children, June Tamilio and husband Warren, Mark Wasserbach and wife Cathy, Glenn Wasserbach and wife Daria, Ellen Gensler and husband Brent; grandchildren Tara (Tamilio) Whale and husband Joe, Lisa (Tamilio) Crespo and husband Cesar, Steven Crowley, Timothy Wasserbach, Jamie (Wasserbach) Kaleta and husband Chris, Andrew Wasserbach and wife Regina, Amy (Wasserbach) Downes and husband Michael, Tabitha Gensler, Josiah Gensler, Esther Gensler; and great-grandchildren Olivia Whale, Isaac Tamilio, Xavior and Logan Crespo, Caitlyn Kaleta, Charlotte and Anthony Wasserbach, Addison and Jackson Downes. She also leaves behind her sister Jean Hoehler and several nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herbert, grandchildren Michael Tamilio, Gloria Gensler, Lydia Gensler, her parents Emilia and Josef Kmosko, and siblings Dolly, Josef, and Robert Kmosko, Bessie Plauka, Dorothy Jordon, Alice Hadley, and Olga Bruce. A celebration of Elsie’s life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. Elsie's legacy of love, care, and vibrant spirit will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
