Christopher Joseph Ramon, 39, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on December 1st, 2023 after a sudden illness. Chris was born to Joe Thomas and Kathleen Mary Ramon (Draggoo) in Downey, CA. During childhood, he enjoyed camping by the beach with his grandmother, protecting and being annoyed by his two younger sisters, and spending hours playing video games with friends who became like family once they got to know he was, in fact, a gentle giant. After graduating high school, Chris worked a variety of jobs in California, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and enjoyed exploring the world as a jack of all trades and master of none. He eventually moved to Pittsburgh, PA in 2020 to seek new adventures with his dearest friend, and they were wed on October 14th, 2023. Everyone who knew Chris felt his love and care for others, both human and animal. He was loved by (almost) everyone who met him and a source of inspiration for kindness and selflessness for many. A dedicated animal lover, he is deeply missed by his two cats and the hundreds of foster animals he planned to help. He had a deep love of theme parks and Disney, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and a passion for music that made it a daily habit and a source of connection to others. In many ways, he was Jack Skellington- Optimistic, beloved, and capable of making and recovering from mistakes with grace and humor. Everyone who knew him will remember his quick wit, easy smile, and perfect comebacks. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Joe. He leaves behind his mother Kathleen, sisters Alicia and Nicole (Nicky) Ramon, and one niece, Moribella Rose Ramon-Gurol. He also leaves behind his beloved wife, Lauren Ramon (Gaynord).
