Christopher Michael Baines, affectionately known as Chris, passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 58 in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Dorothy and William Baines Sr. of Catasauqua, PA. Chris was a dedicated husband and a kind and giving soul who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone when needed. He possessed an enormous heart, wonderful sense of humor, and loved to laugh, even at himself. Music and storytelling held a special place in his heart. He was clever and had a tremendous knowledge gained from all his life experiences. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Lori Baines, son Justin Baines, and brother William Baines, along with uncles, aunts, and cousins. Chris attended Catasauqua High School and went on to have a successful career as a Network Engineer. Outside of his professional life, Chris had a variety of hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking, architecture, gardening, and had a passion for nostalgic cars, technology and automation. He could fix or build anything! A private Celebration of Life gathering will be held with family and close friends to honor Chris's memory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rodale Institute.
