Carmen M. Santana Taylor passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024, at the age of 83, at home with her son by her side, following her battle with dementia. Carmen was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on February 1, 1941, to parents Divina Suarez Santana and Felix Santana. She moved to New York with her mother and little sister at a young age, and she loved NYC and mastering the English language. Carmen enjoyed music and dancing to salsa, RandB, and classic love songs; her favorite artists were Al Green and Sam Cooke. Carmen is now reunited with her parents and her siblings. Carmen was a private person who wanted to be remembered as a loving woman. As Carmen requested, no funeral or memorial service will be held. "We will always carry your memory in our hearts."
