Obituary

Susan Lynn Thomas (Baker), age 79 passed away on September 16, 2026, in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. Susan was born on February 24, 1947, in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, and continued her education at the University of Missouri, St. Louis.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Daness Baker and Francis Evelyn Bradshaw, her sisters, Sharon Baker and Ellen Barr, her former spouses, Jerry Wheeler, Charles (Skip) Rodriquez, James Crumpler, and Miles Thomas, her grandchildren, Cody Smith (Kilie), Baby Donnelly, Baby Boy Baggett, Royale Lee Shivers, and Baby Morris, as well as Donald Church.

Susan is survived by her son, Tony Rodriguez, daughter Rhonda Crumpler (Alex), her grandchildren Michealangelo Leroy Minnett, Peter Louis Hall, Ronan Liam Donnelly, and Susanna Lynn Church, great-grandchildren Alleigh Jo Hoehn, Bentlee Taylor, Kynnedee Smith, and Everlee Smith, and her nieces Holly Chase (Marcellus), Emily Burneson (James), and Erin Packard (Daniel).

Susan was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in the temple. She was very outgoing and loved spending time with friends and family. Susan loved pear-themed decor, singing, musicals, the “Red Hats Society,” and perfectly accessorizing every outfit. Susan used her talents to generously serve others. She especially loved sharing all of her culinary creations.

Susan spent many years living in Pennsylvania and may have found her true calling when she served as the singing trolley guide on the Hershey Trolley Tour, complete with an authentic Victorian costume and cameo brooch. We love you, Susan. “Catch the hug!”

A memorial will be held at 10:00 am on October 2, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 455 Church Road, Lebanon, Pennsylvania 17042. Susan will be interred in St. Louis, MO next to her dear sister, Ellen, who passed one month prior.
