Obituary

Robert (Bob) Edward Rizzo, 73, of Trenton, NJ, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 8, 1952. At three years old, Bob’s family moved to Levittown, PA, where he grew up in the Red Cedar section. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1970. After high school, Bob spent 6 years in the Army Reserves. Bob accepted the Lord, who opened the doors for him to attend Western Conservative Baptist Seminary (now Western Seminary) in Portland, OR, and Philadelphia Biblical University (now Cairn University) in Langhorne, PA, where he graduated with three Master's Degrees in Theology, Divinity, and Christian Counseling.

Bob retired in 2018 from Neuro-Restorative Rehabilitative Services, having worked compassionately for many years with individuals who suffered traumatic brain injuries. Bob was a man who committed his life to studying the word of God. He co-pastored a home church, The Family of God Fellowship, in Trenton, NJ, for many years. In recent years, he loved and attended Calvary Chapel Mercer County Church in Ewing, NJ.

Bob was also a faithful and devoted husband and father who loved spending his free time with his family. He also had a passion for gardening and photographing the flowers he cultivated -as well as nature’s landscape.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorraine (Birnbaum) Rizzo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Carol (Kennedy) Rizzo; his ex-wife, Michelle (Hebert) Rizzo; his sons, Emon Rizzo and Ben Rizzo; Ben’s wife, Mollie, and their children, Abigail and Wyatt. He is also survived by his step-son, Scott Wiley, and his wife Danielle: and his daughters, Ruthie Abdelwahabe, and Agnes Abdelwahabe, Agnes’ children, Antonio and Annelis Deleon and their father Elvis Deleon: Also surviving are Bob’s beloved sisters and their families: Annemarie (Rizzo) Graham, her sons Ryan Ward and Robert Graham and his sister Jayne (Rizzo) Gale, her husband, Leon (Lee), and their children Collin and Devin Gale, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Bob’s Life on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 7:00 pm. It will be held at Calvary Chapel Mercer County, 80 West Upper Ferry Rd., Ewing, NJ. 08628.
