Obituary
Robert J. Lipka, 54 of Union, New Jersey, passed away on October 18, 2026. Rob was born on July 14, 1972 in Montreal, Canada.
Rob attended Rutgers University – New Brunswick and completed his undergraduate degree with a B.S. in Pharmacy in 1995 and was a registered pharmacist in the state of New Jersey. Rob then went on after graduation to pursue a law degree at Rutgers University – Newark and received his J.D. in 1998. Rob was a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the New York Bar Association. Rob worked as a patent attorney in the pharmaceutical industry for Byran Cave in New York City and Schering-Plough in Kenilworth, New Jersey. Rob stopped practicing law and pursued other employment and practiced as a pharmacist in his final years in Northern and Central New Jersey.
Rob grew up in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania and was a dedicated fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams and had various eclectic interests. Rob loved following the 76er’s, the Flyers, the Phillies and the Eagles and would regale those around him with stories of the Broad Street Bullies, Bobby Clarke, and Pete Rose aka Charlie Hussle to name a few with great enthusiasm. Rob also loved collecting sneakers, comics, action figures, sports cards and skateboard/surfer T-shirts. Rob loved all music genres and surprisingly enjoyed rap music and would surprise those around him when a song came on and he would know all the words. Rob would joke about wanting to be the 4th Beastie Boy. Rob also had a passion for reading and would devour books in record time.
Rob and his wife, Stacey Tsandiotis Lipka were together for over 21 years. They met in 2005 and married in June 2017. Stacey supported Rob through his illness up until the end with love, patience and compassion.
Rob is survived by his wife, Stacey, mother Barbara Nungesser Lipka, sister Kristin Lipka and was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert E. Lipka.
Rob was known by all those close to him for his sense of humor and kindness. Rob was cherished and loved by his family and friends and will be missed every day.
There will be a private gathering of close family and friends on Thursday, October 22 at Rose Hill Crematory promptly at 11am to witness the cremation, followed by a luncheon to gather and remember Rob.
