Obituary
Robert Gordon Jr., 67, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026.
Robert was born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, where he spent his early years before making Hackettstown his home for the past 35 years.
Above all, Robert treasured his family. He was a loyal and devoted husband, a loving father, and a fun-loving grandfather who always knew how to keep everyone laughing. He leaves behind his wife, Martha; his sons, Robert and Kristopher; his daughters-in-law, Erika and Sarah; and his beloved grandchildren, Samantha, 10, Madelyn, 9, and Beckham, 7 months. Samantha and Madelyn are the daughters of Robert and Erika, while Beckham is the son of Kristopher and Sarah. He will also be deeply missed by his sister, Theresa, along with his extended family and many friends.
Robert was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family and in the trucking company he built and owned. After years of hard work, he was fortunate to finish his trucking career working alongside his son Robert, something that meant a great deal to him. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his wonderful storytelling, and his ability to make the people around him laugh.
Outside of work, Bob especially enjoyed golfing, riding ATVs with his family, and sitting down to enjoy a good cigar with his son Kristopher. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and had a way of making ordinary moments memorable. Whether he was telling a story, sharing a laugh, or simply enjoying time with his family, there was rarely a dull moment when Bob was around.
His memory will live on through the stories he told, the laughter he shared, the adventures he enjoyed, and most importantly, the family and friends he loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 19, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. In true Bob fashion, please come prepared to tell a Bob story, share a laugh, and celebrate the life of a man who will be deeply missed.
