Paul M. Glattstein

Paul found the world to be a marvelous place with all sorts of fascinating options and possibilities.

He trained as an electrical engineer. Over time, he became a supervising project director for a company that built major petrochemical and pharmaceutical plants across the United States and abroad.

As a young teenager, he was an enthusiastic bicycle rider, taking the Brooklyn ferry to Staten Island 52 Sundays a year, where he and other enthusiasts would ride a complete loop around the island. Several years on, pre-sputnik, he and a group of friends built solid fuel rockets to launch first day covers, which were sold to stamp collectors. Decades later, he and a friend built cars with which they could road rally in Connecticut.

Paul found computers to be fascinating, beginning back with the Radio Shack TRS80 and continuing up to now.

Woodworking, both practical—cutting and splitting firewood using trees on his New Jersey property—and ornamental—a black walnut fireplace surround, also from home place lumber.

Paul leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Judith Glattstein; a daughter, Mira Dessy; a son, Seth Glattstein; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
