Obituary

Nancy passed suddenly on January 11, 2026 at the age of 93. Born in Boston, Mass., she was the only child of Roger and Lexina Pearson of Norwood, Mass.

Nancy graduated from Norwood High School in 1950, where she met her first husband Clarence Atkins. She later attended Newark State College in Union, NJ, where she achieved her BA in Early Education in 1977.

Nancy taught First Grade for many years in Brick, NJ. Lanes Mill School was her final teaching assignment before retiring.

Nancy is pre-deceased by her parents, and her husband Michael Kodan Jr. Surviving are her two daughters: Cindy Atkins Sullivan (Hillsborough), and her husband Daniel Sullivan, and Pamela Barth (Toms River) and her husband Douglas Barth. Two step-daughters; Lori Knoll and Lisa Kodan. Two grandchildren: Aaron Liebman (California) and Nancee Hofheimer (Chicago) and her husband Matthew. And four great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Virginia Hofheimer, Stephen Tobias, and Rebecca Knoll.
