Obituary
Leonard Charles Miller (1959–2026), age 67
Leonard said his final “F* It” surrounded by his loving wife Elizabeth and son Andrew in Bethlehem, PA, on June 27, 2026.
He was born in Plainfield, NJ, on June 8, 1959, to Marion (Casler) Legrand and Louis Miller. Throughout his childhood and young adult life, he moved back and forth between New Jersey and Indiana.
Leonard met Elizabeth in the summer of 1983 at their factory job. They separated in 1987 but reunited in 2006, where their new love story began. They married in 2013 and lived in California, Arizona, and eventually Pennsylvania.
Leonard was preceded in death by his mother, Marion (Casler) Legrand; father, Louis Miller; sister, Julie (Miller) Cox; stepfather, Fred Legrand; nephew Dalton Thrush and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pirozzi-Miller; children Chris Grubbs (Mark), Rachel Ray, Nathan Brown, Andrew Pirozzi (Janel), and Kyle Miller; brother Kenneth Miller; sisters Sara Waggoner and Mary Thrush (Michael); his aunt Pat (Casler) Allen (Jeff); and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Known lovingly as Papaw, Leonard leaves behind 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Leonard loved his dogs—most recently his puppies Tuna and Tyson—whom he enjoyed walking, taking to the dog park, and relaxing with on the couch.
He was an” old-school” truck driver who could back a tractor-trailer into any space without, as he liked to say, “scratching the paint.” He drove over the road, local routes, and most recently delivered propane.
Leonard loved his family, extended family, and friends. He was always ready to help however he could. He made friends easily and loved to hang out and have a beer. He cried at sad movies, sang along to classic rock, and played Angry Birds while relaxing in his man cave (garage). He loved tinkering in his man cave, working on wood projects—especially refurbishing garden benches. He was half of the craft business Drazil Designs, helping create items, build displays, and serving as the official driver to events.
Most of all, Leonard loved sitting on his eagle bench, sipping a beer, and enjoying the great outdoors. He loved feeding his birds and squirrels. His favorite price for any item was “free ninety-nine,” and his collection of fun finds decorated his workbench. And of course, his favorite saying was “F* It!”
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date in both Pennsylvania and Indiana.
