Obituary of Kevin Guy Madtes

Kevin Guy Madtes, 64, of Laury Station, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 12, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest. Born on October 22, 1961, in Alexandria, Virginia, he was the son of the late William “Bud” and Marlene Madtes.

Kevin was the devoted husband of Darlene Ruth Madtes (Weil-Laughin). He was an avid animal lover who cherished spending quality time with his family. A dedicated Washington Redskins supporter, Kevin enjoyed cheering on his favorite team.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Darlene; brother Craig Madtes, his children, Julie Quinn, Ryan Madtes, and two other daughters; and his stepson, Norman Weil III. He especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, Dominyck, Bianca, Xzavier, Lillian, Luna, Emmalyn, Caleb, and Sam who brought great joy to his life.

Kevin will be lovingly remembered for his love of family, his compassion for animals, and the memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial Service

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate and honor Kevin’s life on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
