Obituary

Jerry L. Misterman

July 13, 1946 to January 11, 2026

With profound love and heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Jerry Lee Misterman, Egg Harbor Township, NJ who passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2026 surrounded by his family. Jerry was a cherished husband, devoted father/grandfather as well as a dedicated finance professional.

Jerry was born on July 13, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to the late June and Jerry Misterman. He attended LaSalle University and earned an accounting degree later becoming a Certified Public Accountant. Jerry truly enjoyed his work and staying busy, continuing his career up until his passing as Chief Financial Officer at Derek’s business.

Jerry met Kay at the Jersey shore (Avalon) in 1974 and have since spent 52 years together. Jerry most recently told Kay they were ‘52 easy years.’ They shared a deep love of the Jersey shore and passed that love on to their children and grandchildren. Jerry and Kay’s marriage was built on friendship, love, and unwavering commitment, grounded in their mutual devotion to family. As a father to Jennifer (Pete) Topping, Derek (Sara) Misterman and grandfather to Marcel, Solaine, Allaire, Casen and Kaia, Jerry was the heart and soul of his family, offering endless encouragement, wisdom, and generosity. Jerry was a true family man, as he wanted nothing more than to spend quality time with those he loved most. His children and grandchildren were his greatest pride. He looked forward to holidays (especially Christmas) and family vacations where countless memories were created.

In addition to his loving wife and beloved children and grandchildren, Jerry cherished spending time with extended family members and lifelong friends. Some of whom were in his life for more than 60 years became “aunts” and “uncles” to Jennifer and Derek. Jerry treasured his strong connections within the Richboro, PA community as well as embracing Kay’s childhood friends as his own.

Jerry was always young at heart. He loved blasting current dance music, relaxing in the sun, and wearing fashionable clothes. He made the most of every day and lived like it was his last.

Kay welcomes any and all to her house at any time to celebrate Jerry.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Jerry’s memory are invited to make a donation to the American Diabetes Association.

Jerry will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
