Obituary

Ivan (John) Nowikow, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026 in Toms River, NJ.

Born on November 12,1933 in Germany to Nina Hensel Nowikow and William Nowikow, he immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 and lived for many years in East Brunswick.

Before his retirement, he was employed in the maintenance department at Oakite in Metuchen and Good Luck Point Marina in Bayville.

While Ivan was a man with many interests, boating and fishing were at the top of the list.

Ivan was preceded in death by his brother, Rudolph; his mother and father; his daughter, Linda Langone; his son-in-law, Tom Fama;

and his ex-wife, Goldie Asch Nowikow.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Fama and Debbie Nowikow; his son, John Nowikow (Kathleen); six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Respecting his wishes, Ivan's journey ended with a private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you most importantly make peace with Jesus and take the time to cultivate a closer relationship with your children and grandchildren.
