Obituary

Carol (Pahira) Gladis died peacefully in her sleep under Hospice care on February 6, 2026. Born on May 27, 1943 in Perth Amboy, she was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School and was a medical transcriptionist until she retired. Carol enjoyed travelling, going to Broadway shows, watching movies (even the scary ones) and especially loved doting on her youngest cousins, Allie, Katelyn and Colin, who knew her as “Aunt Carol”. They were her world and she was so proud of watching them grow into the amazing adults they are now.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Ann Pahira as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her cousins, Greg Kulinich , his wife Deborah and daughter Alexandra, Karen DeRidder, her husband Mark and children Katelyn and Colin as well as many cousins on her paternal side.

A Celebration of Life will be privately held in the Spring for her family and close friends.
