Obituary

Brenda L. Bartholomew, 60, of Schnecksville, PA, passed away unexpectedly / surrounded by family on Sunday, February 15th, 2026 at LVHN Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA, Lehigh County.

Born on November 28th, 1965 in Geneva, NY, Brenda was the daughter of Thomas Gurba Jr. and Barbara June (Post) Gurba. She grew up in Geneva,NY and attended Geneva High School. She went on to live with family in Lawton, OK, where she met her future husband Mark who was serving in the US Army at FT. Sill, OK.

Brenda dedicated her life to family and passions. She especially enjoyed hobbies like diamond art and crochet, playing with her grandbabies, and will be remembered for her kindness, humor, generosity, and strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Susan (Shattuck) Piper and brother William N. Shattuck III.

Brenda is survived by her husband Mark of Schnecksville,PA; Daughter Elise of Schnecksville, PA; Son Mark II of Kunkeltown, PA; Son Andrew of Tobyhanna, PA; and Daughter Alexis of Eagleville, PA; Grandchildren Nikos 21, Rhys 15, Connor 15, Gordon 14, Killian 3 and Joshua 1; Siblings Christine, Julie, Thomas III, Lori & Danny all of whom will deeply miss her.

A celebration of life service will be held in April in Tioga County, PA at a State Park TBD. Visitation will be for immediate family prior to cremation.
