Mary M. Varick, (nee, Peterson) aged 75, went peacefully home to God on 2/19/2021. Mary was born on August 20, 1945 to Robert and Elizabeth Peterson, of Harrison, NJ. Mary entered religious life with the Sisters of Charity in Convent Station, Morristown, NJ. After leaving religious life, Mary continued to live a life of spirituality and service. Mary then met and married James L. Varick. They were married for 51 years, before James predeceased her. She is survived by her only daughter, Teresa Ann Hooper and son-in-law, Joseph Hooper. Her grandchildren who were the heart of her life; Jimmy, Gregory and Emma. She will be dearly missed by her brother and sisters: Patricia Fritzky, Robert Peterson, Elizabeth Archibald,Catherine Rapsas, and several nieces and nephews.
