Louis P. Marino January 19, 1933 – May 29, 2021 Louis Marino died peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Louis is survived by his loving wife, Jane (Janey) Marino, two daughters, Michelle Marino and Lori Paolino, son, Anthony Paolino, Jr. (deceased), his granddaughter, Leanne Paolino, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joanne and Thomas Gundlach and nephew, Scott Waleck. Louis was a veteran of the Korean War where he honed his skills as a cook in the Navy. He later served 25 years as a Paterson police officer. His passions in life were his wife, Janey, his granddaughter, Leanne, westerns and food. He was proud of his Italian heritage and without fail would have a pot of sauce/gravy cooking first thing every Sunday with fresh meatballs, sausage and pork. No one left the Marino home without containers of food and he always cooked as though he was still feeding a mess hall. Even towards the end when others had to prepare his food, he never stopped worrying about what everyone else was eating. Louis, who proudly took on the nickname “PA” from his granddaughter when she could barely talk, left this earth deeply loved by those around him.
