Julius (Skip) Schedneck died at the age of 73 in a hospital near his home in Middletown, New Jersey on 22 October 2024. Born on March 9th in 1951 in New Jersey, Skip was the youngest of five children. He announced every year on his birthday that his parents, William and Liz (Werner) Schedneck, had to have one more baby with blue eyes. Baby Julius fulfilled their wish. Skip married Judy Frisell Schedneck in 1980, and together they had twin girls, Brooke and Jillian. Skip and Judy divorced in 1997. Skip had several professions at which he excelled: sales manager, construction management, and financial fraud investigator. In 2020, he retired from his career as a fraud investigator for Wells Fargo in New York City. Skip loved nothing more than spending many hours lifting weights at his local gym, and relaxing while watching a football or baseball game in the evening. He loved his daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren very much. Skip shared a love of the Yankees with his son-in-law William, and they would often text about the most recent game. Jet Starner, son of Brooke Schedneck and William Starner, was Skip’s first beloved grandchild. They loved playing with Pokemon cards together. Although he didn’t get to see them very often, Skip cared for and loved his granddaughters, Celia and Eva Jardine, calling them by their nicknames ‘Bug and Bear’ over video calls, and commenting on how sweet they are. Skip was known for his generosity, and for providing excellent advice to his daughters and friends. He was known among friends as sociable and fun-loving. Skip is survived by his former wife, Judy Schedneck, his daughters, Brooke and Jillian Schedneck, his sons-in-law, William Starner and Duncan Jardine, and his grandchildren, Jet, Celia and Eva, and his brothers, nieces, and nephews. His death was preceded by his sisters and his parents.
