Joseph Maytidu 83 passed peacefully at Hackettstown Medical Center on October 22, 2024. He was a devoted and loving husband of 61 years to his soulmate Maureen "Red". The most wonderful father and grandfather. Daughters, Lauren Marie and husband Christopher Sexton, Dana and husband Tommy Dimitriou and granddaughter, Heather "Bugsy" Marie Dimitriou and brother Robert Maytidu. Joe was born in Orange, New Jersey and lived in West Orange for many years before moving to Byram Township, New Jersey where he lived for 59 years. Joe was an auto mechanic. He worked for Morrison Ford in Morristown and Budd Ford in Netcong. He also had a shop of his own. Joe was a spot builder and he was an entrepreneur and part owner of Gift's Plus route 206 in Byram Township. A Special man who touched everyone he met in his life. He was always happy, loved to joke and made everyone laugh. He loved life, people, children and animals. Joe made an impression on everyone and will be truly missed by all. He was a friend to all his neighbors. There is an abundance of people he touched. Joseph aka Joe aka Joey will remain in our hearts forever.
