Jay Todd Showalter passed away at his home in Annville, Pennsylvania in September, 2024. Born in Harrisburg, Pennyslvania on February 19, 1963, he was the son of Eugene Showalter and Jill Marnie Showalter (Howell) and grew up and lived in Harrisburg and its environs his entire life. He was the grandson of James R. Howell and Pauline Beaver Howell of Altoona, PA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Showalter (Karlin), parents, Eugene Showalter and Jill Marnie Showalter (Howell) and only brother, Jeffrey Showalter. He is survived by cousins, Judith Catharine Petersen (Howell) and Janet A. Domeniconi (Howell) both of Cloverdale, CA. Jay will be remembered for his gentle nature, kind heart, and dry sense of humor. He loved and cared for stray animals, which included several cats and a tortoise.
