On Tuesday Nov. 7th, Gary Lee Lewis returned to the Lord. Born into a military family, Gary moved several times throughout his childhood before settling onto the New York area. A graduate of St. John's University in Queens, Gary entered aviation becoming the chief pilot for a charter airline service. Though he went on to enjoy a successful career in sales with several air cargo carriers, aviation always remained his first love. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Lt. Cmdr Morton Lee Lewis and Palma Lewis (née Ingoglio). Gary is survived by his four children, Michael Lewis of Asheville, NC, Ryan Lewis of Duvall, Washington, Leigh-Ann Lewis of Asbury Park, NJ and Elizabeth Lewis of Asheville, NC; two grandchildren, Eliana and Grayson; and siblings, Terence Lewis, Kathleen Bihn and Wendy Hyde.
