On Monday, April 21, 2020, Clifton Jones Sr., loving husband and father passed away at the age of 70 at ACMC, Mainland Division. He was born July 16, 1949 in Atlantic City, NJ, the son of Lamont R and Celestine Jones. Clifton graduated from Atlantic City High School, class of 1967. Soon after graduation he served as a Gunner’s Mate with the U.S. Navy. For many years he drove a cab for Mutual Taxi in Atlantic City. He loved spending time with his family, especially on Monday night’s watching wrestling with his children. Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Walter(Sunny) Jones, and Lamont Jones. He is survived by his wife Margaret Jones, 2 children, daughter Waynette Hardeman and husband David, and son Clifton Jones Jr., and wife Jamie Hicks Jones, 4 sisters: Shirley Harris, Natalie Jones-Weaver, Florence K Jones, and Monica Brock, 6 brothers: Gerald O Jones, Lindsay E Jones and wife Cynthia, Azizi Jahi and wife Aisha, Kevin B Jones and wife Andrea, Kelly Seymore, and Christopher Wells. 5 grand children: Charnice Farmer, David Hardeman Jr., Jailyn, Jordyn, and Jurnee Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be truly missed!!!!!!!! *A service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
