Harry was born in Jersey City before moving to Carteret. He lived many years in Carteret until he became a United Methodist church pastor. He moved around state to become the pastor at different United Methodist churches. He retired in 2008 from the Stanhope United Methodist church then moved to Stevens Pennsylvania, before returning to Spotswood NJ. Harry is predeceased by his mother Sarah, father Willis, sister Margaret and her husband Harold. Survived by his wife Lona of 61 years, his 4 children, Douglas, Donald and his partner Debbie Gormley, Deborah, and Daniel, grandchildren Brooke, Amber, Nicholas, Kyle, 3 sister in laws, Janet, Susan, Jill, 2 brother in laws Dennis, George, and many nieces and nephews. Harry was a graduate of Kean University, then received his masters degree from The New Brunswick Theological Seminary. He liked to spend time in his vegetable garden, reading books, playing cards, and participating in Tres Dias weekend retreats. A Memorial service to be held at the Stanhope United Methodist Church, 2 Route 183, Netcong NJ on April 6 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Harry's memory to the Stanhope United Methodist Church.
